Akin to ideas sketched out on the back of a napkin, these twenty haikus, each focusing on one of the 'breakthrough technologies' of 2018/2019 as proposed by MIT, speak to the material inception of such devices in the form of visual and poetic hints. Restricted both in their poetic form, as well as by the physical space of the napkin, the piece seeks to highlight the difficulty of comprehending the seemingly innumerous contemporary technologies that continue to shape the world we live in.
